I say!
Well, after an initial flurry of activity, the radio stations do not seem to be leaping at the opportunity to air my short story "A night at the border". I had high hopes of Radio Zim buying the rights for Z$3,000,000. However, although that may sound like a lot of dosh, due to the rampant inflation in Zimbabwe just now, that amount would hardly buy a round of MGTs. I gather that golfers there now pay for their MGTs before they play a round, due to the fact that the prices will have risen by the time they reach the 18th. Terrible situation there, despite my joking, and many people are now going hungry. We should all pray for them.
On a lighter matter, I had to undertake some official pitch consultant duties at a recent cricket match in Edinburgh. The facilities were excellent.

Here I am, directing operations with respect to the covers.

Unfortunately, the match was rained off, and there was little else to be done except repair to the bar.

I must just say that the bar staff there are extremely adept at serving G&Ts. I had a wonderful time. Thank you so much, the bar staff at The Grange.

I was also fortunate enough to meet up with Hotboy at the match. Of which more, next time.
