Terrible events in Lahore

I say!

What awful news there was from Pakistan earlier this week, where the Sri Lanka cricket team was attacked by gunmen. One really cannot understand why people do such things. Cricket is a wonderful game, and politics should play no part in it. There are various unanswered questions about the attack.

Surely that incident was a trifleunsporting?

If it had happened on the field, there'd be work for pitch inspectors.

I followed your link and read that an umpire said: "One thing I have been impressed about in Pakistan is that logistically they are usually very well organised. They normally depart on time".

That wouldn't happen in Australia.

Mingin'! I thought it was taking the dislike of creekit a bit far myself though I have to agree it is a totally decadent western pastime, an excuse to the spectators to sit around getting drunk all day, and is so much unlike a sport that fat people play it all the time. Well done the bus driver although his brother was a martyr. You could tell that he wasn't ready for that road himself. Personnally, I'm prepared to become a ragheid if it would get it off Radio 4! Allah Akbar! Hotboy p.s. Was it six nil to the jihadis? Sitting ducks, the boy said. They left us stranded like sitting ducks. Dearie me! No arrests!! What kind of country is that?
